The Houston Dynamo are playoff experts. They have been to the MLS Cup final in each of the last two years, thriving in the postseason even when their regular season didn't go so well. So when they limped to the fourth seed this year, it was expected that they would turn it on for the playoffs and they did, crushing the Montreal Impact in the play-in match.
Houston Dynamo vs. New York Red Bulls: Lineups
The Dynamo will test their playoff magic against MLS’s best team in the regular season.

But while the Dynamo have a history of stepping up when the moment is biggest, the New York Red Bulls have made habit of doing the opposite. That is, at least until this season, when they won the Supporters' Shield for the club's first ever trophy. Now they're ready to do the next unthinkable thing -- beat the Dynamo in the playoffs.
The good news for the Red Bulls is they will get the chance to do it with Luis Robles, who missed practice this week through injury, but is ready to play. The Dynamo have gone with their expected 4-4-2 for this match, but they will be without manager Dominic Kinnear, who is suspended after leaving his technical area last match. This lineup is the last he will get to do today, as he prepares to watch the match from a suite.
New York Red Bulls: Luis Robles; Markus Holgersson, Ibrahim Sekagya, Jamison Olave, David Carney; Eric Alexander, Dax McCarty, Peguy Luyindula, Jonny Steele; Tim Cahill, Thierry Henry.
Houston Dynamo: Tally Hall; Koffi Sarkodie, Bobby Boswell, Eric Brunner, Corey Ashe; Oscar Boniek García, Warren Creavalle, Ricardo Clark, Brad Davis; Giles Barnes, Will Bruin.
