The Bianconeri require four points from their final five games to retain their Serie A crown. Should other results go their way over the weekend, then a win could be all that they need.
Torino vs Juventus, Preview: Scudetto within reach for the Bianconeri
Juventus could clinch the Scudetto this weekend, but city rivals Torino will do all they can to put the celebrations on ice for at least another week.
Torino are in a fighting mood and have their own ideas for the Derby della Mole. Despite being seven points clear of the relegation places, the Granata will be desperate to net the one crucial victory which should secure their top flight status for another season.
Giampiero Ventura's side showed great fight last weekend, despite going down 4-3 at Fiorentina. Torino were three down and considered dead and buried within half an hour, but they battled back to 3-3, before conceding a late winner. Meanwhile, Juve laboured to a 1-0 victory over AC Milan, requiring an Arturo Vidal penalty to get by the stubborn Rossoneri.
Juve emphatically swept past their city rivals 3-0 in the season's earlier meeting, thanks to a Claudio Marchisio brace and a Sebastian Giovinco strike. However, the Atomic Ant is still injured and joins Nicolas Anelka and Simone Pepe on the sidelines, while Matteo Brighi looks set to miss out playing against his former club with a muscle strain.
Torino will argue that December's game changed when Kamil Glik was sent off, but ill-discipline has blighted the team on more than one occasion this season. Matteo Darmian's dismissal in stoppage time last weekend rules him out of this game along with Giuseppe Vives for accumulating too many cautions. Juventus are the only side not to have received a red card in the current Serie A campaign.
The Granata have failed to score in any of the seven previous Turin derbies and haven't won this fixture since doing the season double in 1994-95. They will be pinning their hopes on ten goal top scorer Rolando Bianchi, who has netted one more than Juve's top marksman - Mirko Vucinic.
