Real Madrid vs. Real Valladolid: Preview and TV Schedule

Madrid could force Barcelona to wait another week to claim the title with a win over Valladolid but after last week’s Champions League failure, it’s hard to guess where their focus will be.

Real Madrid's Champions League dreams are dashed, their hopes of retaining the league title will likely end by next week -- if not sooner -- and Jose Mourinho looks to have one foot out the door towards a potential Chelsea return. Even with all that going on, there's still soccer to be played as La Liga enters the homestretch of the season.

Madrid welcomes Real Valladolid to the Santiago Bernabéu looking to at least prevent Barcelona from clinching the title for one more week. A win by Los Merengues would be enough to cause another delay but at this point it's all but a lost cause. Madrid do have a Copa del Rey final took look forward to in a couple weeks so this may be a good game to rest some starters who've played a lot of soccer this season and start trying to re-focus for their last shot at silverware this season.

Valladolid are healthy and will be looking for their first away win against Madrid since a 1-0 win back in May of 2000.

Real Madrid injuries and suspensions

Out: Sergio Ramos (hamstring), Alvaro Arbeloa (back), Marcelo (muscle tear), Raul Albiol (suspension). In doubt: Cristiano Ronaldo (hamstring).

Real Valladolid injuries and suspensions

Ramos, Arbeola, Marcelo and Albiol are out this week with various ailments while Cristiano Ronaldo is doubtful with a hamstring issue. Ronaldo likely won’t be risked with the Copa del Rey final coming. Valladolid have no injuries reported this week.
