Alexis Sánchez starts as Arsenal take on Anderlecht

Arsenal’s star attacker Alexis Sánchez starts as the Gunners host Anderlecht in the Champions League.

Arsenal may be expecting a comfortable victory over Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday, but that hasn't stopped manager Arsène Wenger naming star attacker Alexis Sánchez in his side's starting lineup.

Wenger is once again forced into drafting full-back Nacho Monreal into the centre of defence alongside Per Mertesacker, with Calum Chambers out in his natural position on the right of defence.

Anderlecht start 17-year-old midfield sensation Youri Tielemans in the centre of the park, though highly rated young striker Aleksandar Mitrović will have to wait for his turn at the Emirates, with coach Besnik Hasi preferring Ivorian striker Cyriac up top for this one.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Wojciech Szczęsny; Kieran Gibbs, Nacho Monreal, Per Mertesacker, Calum Chambers; Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta; Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sánchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Danny Welbeck.

Anderlecht (4-2-3-1): Silvio Proto; Frank Acheampong, Olivier Deschacht, Chancel Mbemba, Anthony Vanden Borre; Youri Tielemans, Sacha Kljestan; Ibrahima Conté, Dennis Praet, Andy Najar; Cyriac.
