Gyasi Zardes becomes first homegrown player to score in MLS Cup Final
He put LA up with his first goal since September.

It's been a tough couple of months for Gyasi Zardes, the LA Galaxy's homegrown star. He burst onto the scene with a huge season that has him on the verge of a U.S. national team shot, but he's gone without a goal since September 28, until Sunday, when he scored his team's opener in the MLS Cup Final against the New England Revolution.
The goal was the first ever by a homegrown player in the final, and there are likely to be many more after him going forward.
