David Moyes has stuck with the same team for most of his Manchester United tenure, but he looks to be switching up his formation, going with an apparent 4-3-3. Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley and Marouane Fellaini all start, with Danny Welbeck likely lining up as a left forward. However, it is possible Moyes could use his usual 4-2-3-1 formation with Fellaini as an attacking midfielder.
Manchester United vs. Manchester City: Lineups
David Moyes has switched things up while Manuel Pellegrini sticks to the normal plan.
Manchester City have gone with a conventional team, though the absence of Sergio Aguero means that David Silva has to play in the center, not his usual left wing spot. Edin Dzeko is preferred up top to Alvaro Negredo.
Manchester United (4-3-3): David De Gea; Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Phil Jones, Rafael; Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Marouane Fellaini; Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata
Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Joe Hart; Gael Clichy, Martin Demichelis, Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta; Yaya Toure, Fernandinho; Samir Nasri, David Silva, Jesus Navas; Edin Dzeko
