Parma vs. Napoli: Preview and TV Schedule

Parma - despite a slip in form recently, are still chasing a place in Europe next season whilst Napoli will be full of confidence after ending Juventus’s unbeaten league run that dated back to October.

Between mid-October and mid-March, Parma went on a stunning unbeaten run in the league which was only bettered by Juventus, going seventeen matches unbeaten and propelling themselves from lower-mid table to European contention. Parma now sit sixth, only two points from Inter in the final Europa League spot but with Atalanta and Lazio snapping at their heels but over the past three matches, their sterling form appears to have evaporated, losing to Juventus, Lazio and Roma however they were all away from home against three sides who are all in-form. Indeed, with the top three looking pretty well set, the fight for fifth and the final Europa League place looks to be the most exciting action towards the end of the season, with the three noted above along with Torino, Hellas Verona and even Milan in the hunt.

With third place and a spot on the Champions League qualifying round looking pretty secure, Napoli have been able to play with a freedom that allowed them to get the better of Juventus last week, ending their historic unbeaten run. It consolidated Napoli's third place, now twelve points clear of Fiorentina but still nine adrift of Roma in second. If they want to avoid the qualifying round of the Champions League, they will have to rely on a slip-up from the Giallorossi which looks unlikely to materialise at this point.

Parma will be without the suspended Amauri and Alessandro Lucarelli, whilst Antonio Cassano and Gabriel Paletta are doubts. Napoli are relatively unencumbered by suspensions with only Christian Maggio and goalkeeper Rafael out.
