Mexico vs. Ecuador, 2014 World Cup friendly: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online

Mexico and Ecuador continue their World Cup preparations with a friendly in Arlington on Saturday.

Update: Mexico wins but Montes suffers major injury

The pre-World Cup friendlies are coming thick and fast for Mexico. Miguel Herrera's side face off against fellow Brazil 2014 qualifiers Ecuador in Arlington on Saturday, just three days after they won 3-0 at home to Israel. In contrast, Ecuador's only previous World Cup warm-up match came with a 1-1 draw away in the Netherlands a couple of weeks ago.

As Mexico haven't had much rest from their last friendly, we can expect Herrera to make a string of changes to his starting lineup. That will likely include goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa starting ahead of José Corona, despite the latter not sustaining any serious injury after a collision with his teammate Francisco Rodríguez against Israel. It remains to be seen whether Ecuador coach Reinaldo Rueda will do the same, or start his preferred 11.

Projected lineups

Mexico: Guillermo Ochoa; Héctor Moreno, Rafael Márquez, Diego Reyes; Miguel Layún, Carlos Peña, Marco Fabián, Héctor Herrera, Paul Aguilar; Javier Hernández, Giovani dos Santos.

Ecuador: Alexander Domínguez; Walter Ayoví, Frickson Erazo, Jorge Guagua, Juan Carlos Paredes; Jefferson Montero, Christian Noboa, Segundo Castillo, Antonio Valencia; Felipe Caicedo, Enner Valencia.

Match Date/Time: Saturday, 2 p.m. local, 3 p.m. ET

Venue: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas, United States

TV: ESPNEWS (U.S. - English), Univision, Univision Deportes (U.S. - Spanish), TV Azteca 7 (Mexico)

Online: Watch ESPN (U.S.)
