Watch Robin van Persie’s crazy header vs. Spain

HOW.

OH MY GOD ROBIN VAN PERSIE.

That might be the best header I’ve ever seen.

Up until this point, the Netherlands had been seriously struggling. Spain scored the first goal, and deservedly so, and then were keeping possession pretty easily. But just before halftime, the Netherlands found a way to strike back, taking advantage of some pretty terrible defending by Spain.

And as great as the header is, the pass isn't bad either. Daley Blind, take a bow.

With that goal, this is already considerably more entertaining than the final between Spain and the Netherlands in 2010. That game was 0-0 for a long time, but both teams are going to want to attack and feel like they can go on to win this match. And, now that they’re not winning, Spain can’t pass in circles like they would have throughout the second half if they had the lead. Game on.
