PSV Eindhoven sign Nicolas Isimat-Mirin on loan

PSV Eindhoven have confirmed the loan capture of Monaco center back Nicolas Isimat-Mirin.

PSV Eindhoven have completed the signing of Monaco’s young French center back Nicolas Isimat-Mirin on loan. The 22-year-old, who has appeared for France’s U-21 team, is a very highly-rated young player, though he’s yet to fully establish himself in Les Rouges et Blancs’ first team ahead of veteran center backs like Ricardo Carvalho and Andrea Raggi .

He’ll no doubt be hoping to get more of an experience of first-team football in the Eredivisie this season.

The Netherlands is famously a breeding ground for talented young players, with the consistently good performances of the national team and the technical quality of the Eredivisie demonstrative of that. If Isimat-Mirin gets regular first team football at PSV, he could well develop into a top-class centre half. He’ll do battle with Manchester City loanee Karim Rekik and Dutch youngster Jorrit Hendrix for a starting spot.
