Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg are going toe-to-toe in the DFL-Supercup, Germany's traditional curtain-raising match that puts the Bundesliga champions (Bayern) against the DFB-Pokal cup winners (Wolfsburg). While technically a competitive match, with the winners taking home some silverware, supercups like this basically serve as the last tune-up friendly of the preseason for the teams involved.
This German Supercup screwup is maybe the most preseason moment ever
Gotta shake that rust off, guys.

If this first-half moment, there’s still some rust to shake off:
That's Manuel Neuer uncharacteristically whiffing on one of his trademark sweerper-keeper moments, followed by the normally-lethal Kevin De Bruyne completely missing an open goal. That's, uh ... that's bad. Really bad. Super bad. Supercup bad, you could even say.
Fortunately, there’s still some time for these guys to get things right before the matches count in the standings. In the meantime, though, they should maybe spend some more time working on things in training, because that was a bad look.
