Mathieu Flamini subbed on, immediately hacks down Lionel Messi in the box

This is perfection.

Mathieu Flamini, world record holder for getting abused the most by his own fans on Internet forums, is not a very good player. Everyone knows this, except apparently Arsene Wenger, who brought him into a game against Barcelona.

Presumably, Wenger thought Flamini could make a positive impact for Arsenal. Instead, he kicked Lionel Messi in the box about 15 seconds after he came on, so Messi got a penalty.

Barcelona will beat you without any help. You don’t have to beat yourselves. This made it 2-0 to Barca.

Iran thought they had advanced to the 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout round. A less frequent aspect of the offside law disallowed the winning goal.
