The lineups are out for Tuesday's Champions League semifinal second leg between Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid. Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the Bayern team that were defeated at the Calderón 1-0 last week, with Juan Bernat, Thiago Alcântara and Kingsley Coman making way for Jérôme Boateng, Thomas Müller and Franck Ribéry. It's a lineup largely as expected, with Müller having been surprisingly benched for the first leg.
Bayern Munich vs. Atlético Madrid: Lineups
Bayern and Atléti have made a combined total of four changes heading into the second leg of their Champions League semifinal.
Meanwhile, Atléti coach Diego Simeone isn’t attempting to fix a winning formula. He’s made only one change to the team that earned victory last weekend, with defensive rock Diego Godín taking the place of Stefan Savić alongside José Giménez at the heart of their back line. Godín could well reasonably claim to be the best center back in world football at the moment, and his reintroduction after injury will come as a significant boost.
Bayern Munich starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; David Alaba, Javi Martínez, Jérôme Boateng, Philipp Lahm; Arturo Vidal, Xabi Alonso; Franck Ribéry, Thomas Müller, Douglas Costa; Robert Lewandowski.
Atlético Madrid (4-4-2): Jan Oblak; Filipe Luís, Diego Godín, José Giménez, Juanfran; Koke, Augusto Fernández, Gabi, Saúl Ñíguez; Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres
