Xabi Alonso levels Champions League tie against Atlético Madrid with free kick

Bayern had been knocking on the door all game.

Atlético Madrid probably didn't think they could hold Bayern Munich scoreless on Tuesday, but they'll be a bit disappointed at how easily they've conceded. They gave up numerous chances in the early going, then finally gave up a goal via a Xabi Alonso free kick a half-hour in.

Unlike the first leg, Atléti haven’t looked well-organized or dangerous on the counter. This goal made it 1-1 on aggregate.
