Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich lineups: Lewandowski returns for Bayern

Robert Lewandowski missed the first leg with a shoulder injury, but has been declared fit to start at the Bernabéu.

Bayern Munich have a huge task heading into today’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Real Madrid, having been defeated 2-1 by the Spanish side at the Allianz Arena a week ago. However, Carlo Ancelotti is certainly boosted by the return of star striker Robert Lewandowski, who missed the first leg with a shoulder injury.

He’s given the nod up top in place of Thomas Müller, while Jérôme Boateng fills the void left by the suspended Javi Martínez in the heart of defense. Bayern are otherwise unchanged from their home defeat.

Real Madrid’s only switch is an enforced one: an injury to Gareth Bale allows Isco to start on the right of an attacking trident also containing Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid starting lineup (4-3-3): Keylor Navas; Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Dani Carvajal; Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Luka Modrić; Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Isco.

Bayern Munich starting lineup (4-3-3): Manuel Neuer; David Alaba, Jérôme Boateng, Mats Hummels, Philipp Lahm; Thiago Alcântara, Xabi Alonso, Arturo Vidal; Franck Ribéry, Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben.
