Australian Open Odds: Federer, Nadal Listed As Co-Favorites

Roger Federer might have recently told CNN that he and Rafael Nadal are what you would call "friends" away from the court, but their on-court rivalry is still burning as bright as it has for previous Grand Slam events. Bodog slotted Federer and Nadal as co-favorites to win the Australian Open. The odds for both men are 7/4.

So the battle between the world's No. 1 and No. 2 continues, but Federer made it clear that their rivalry isn't as intense as those of other tennis greats:

"In the past, maybe there have been much tougher and harsher rivalries. People wouldn't talk to each other, they didn't like each other and they needed to hate each other to actually perform well against each other. But it doesn't need to be that way."

Britain's Andy Murray owns the next best odds at 6/1 and then Sebria's Novak Djokovic with 8/1 odds.

And while Tennis.com's Peter Bodo predicts that an 'R'-named male will win the tournament, his name is neither Rafa or Roger. It's Robin Soderling: "What fun is it picking Federer or Nadal, anyway?"
