Victoria Azarenka One of Esquire’s Hottest Women of 2011

Victoria Azarenka can yell. She can cry. She has mid-match meltdowns

And she can grunt. Boy, can she grunt. (Noise machines recently recorded her grunts reaching 95 decibels.)

And now she can apparently win votes for her beauty. Azarenka was voted one of 15 of the hottest women of 2011 by Esquire magazine.

“Fifteen beacons of greatness and hope and other things, but mostly greatness and hope,” the magazine’s slideshow subhead reads. Azarenka is No. 12 on the list.

The Belarusian professional tennis player turned professional in 2003. She has made it to the finals of three Grand Slams as a singles player. She has won two Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles.

One of tennis’s loudest grunters, she might finally be proving herself to be among the sport’s most capable players after winning the 2011 Sony Ericsson Open and getting to the semis at Wimbledon. If the U.S.S.R. still existed, it would be proud.
