Andy Murray Accepts Wild Card Into Swiss Indoors

World No. 3 Andy Murray will have a chance at his fourth straight tournament title after accepting a wild card into the Swiss Indoors in Basile. His previous two titles were at Tokyo and Shanghai.

Murray will join world No. 1 Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer at the tournament. Federer is the tournament’s defending champion and a four-time champion of the tournament. It will be Djokovic’s first match since he suffered a back injury during Davis Cup play a month ago.

The wildcard gives Murray a shot to also extend his 15-game win streak against fellow ATP competitors Tomas Berdych, Mardy Fish and Andy Roddick. Murray has actually only lost once in his last 26 matches - a semifinal loss to Rafael Nadal in the U.S. Open.

The tournament leads into the year-end ATP event, the Masters in Paris which will begin Nov. 6 and go until Nov. 13.
