With his 64-3 record in 2011, world No. 1 Novak Djokovic thinks anyone can beat him.
Novak Djokovic: “I Don’t Feel Unbeatable”
Anyone. Anytime.
This advice coming from the ATP master who began the season with a perfect 41-0 record. His gave up his first match in the semifinals at Roland Garros to Roger Federer.
Djokovic is playing in his first tournament since his U.S. Open win and is trying to finish off a year that included ten titles, three of which were Grand Slams (Australian Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open).
But let’s allow the Joker to tell us why he really isn’t joking.
“I don’t feel unbeatable and I don’t think anybody is. It’s just a matter of the right momentum, the confidence that you have, that you’re building up by winning this many matches.”
After a 42-day break due to a back injury, Djokovic will play Xavier Malisse in the opening round of the tournament.
“Not losing a match up till the French Open was an incredible effort. I’m very proud of those achievements. But I know how hard I worked over the years and I always believed I could do it, that I could be the best; that I had the quality to win against the best players in the world and win the major trophies.”
