Four seeded players are onto the semifinals of the Open Sud de France. Tomas Berdych, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon are the four remaining players in Montpeiller, France.

No. 2 seeded Gilles Simon had the match of the day against wildcard Guillaume Ruffin. The two Frenchman pushed their match to two tiebreakers and three sets that was completed in two hours and 52 minutes. Simon won the match 7-6 (5), 6-7 (2), 6-2. Each player won more than 70 percent of first service points. Ruffin actually saved more break points than Simon (67 percent to 62 percent), but the wildcard served up more double faults then aces (11 to 10).
No. 1 seeded Berdych advanced to the semfinals after a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Nicolas Mahut of France. Berdych served up 14 aces, while Mahut had 10.
No. 7 seeded Kohlschreiber defeated No. 4 seed Richard Gasquet of France in a three-set contest. Phillip dropped the middle set in a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 match that lasted an hour and 41 minutes. Kohlschreiber hit 18 aces and won 71 percent of points off his second serve. No. 3 seeded Monfils beat No. 8 seeded Jarkko Nieminen in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
In the semifinal round Kohlschreiber will face Berdych while Monfils takes on Simon.
