Rafael Nadal Injury: Spaniard Has Torn Tendon, Out 2 More Months
Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal will be sidelined for at least two months with a torn patella tendon in his left knee, according to Howard Fendrich.
Nadal did not participate in the 2012 Olympics in London because of the knee injury, which he believed just to be tendinitis at the time. The knee injury prevented Nadal from participating in the 2012 U.S. Open as well, and he will be sidelined an additional two months because of it.

Rafael Nadal made it known on Friday that he will not be returning to tennis until he has fully recovered from the tendinitis that has plagued his left knee. Earlier this week, Nadal announced that he will not be playing in the 2012 U.S. Open.

The Spanish tennis star missed this past weekend’s Cincinnati Open with hopes that he might be healthy enough to play in the next big major, but Nadal announced on Twitter Wednesday morning that he’ll also miss the upcoming U.S. Open.
