Jelena Ostapenko won her first ever French Open match this year ... and then went on to win her second, third and so on right to the title match, which she also won. Ostapenko, an unseeded player, made the Grand Slam at Roland Garros her first ever WTA championship.

On the way, Ostapenko bested big names like Caroline Wozniacki, the 11th seed, Timea Bacsinszky, the 30th seed, and Simona Halep, the third seed. Halep went into the finals as the heavy favorite and coming off a win over the second seed, Karolina Pliskova.

But she had nothing for Ostapenko after winning the first set. Ostapenko was aggressive and her power was too much for Halep in the end.

She took advantage of a weakened field and played great tennis, and if she can bring even a little bit of her dominance from the French Open to the other Grand Slams, the rest of the field will be on notice.

Below, you can find the bracket and individual match results from the tournament.
