Women’s top seed Angelique Kerber found herself eliminated from Wimbledon in the fourth round on Monday, falling to Garbine Muguruza in three sets. Muguruza, the 14th seed and 2015 champion, took down Kerber, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Kerber also lost in the first round of the French Open, and she is well on her way to losing her top spot in the world to Simona Halep, the second seed at Wimbledon. Halep made short work of the surging Victoria Azarenka on Monday, winning in straight sets, 7-6(3), 6-2.

Halep made it to the finals of the French Open and seemed poised to win her first ever Grand Slam title. But she ran into the unseeded Jelena Ostapenko in those finals, and wound up losing that match. Ostapenko is now the 13th seed for Wimbledon, and on Monday, she unseated fourth seed Elina Svitolina, 6-4, 7-6(6).

Fifth seed Caroline Wozniacki also lost on Monday, falling to No. 24 Coco Vandeweghe. The bad day for top 10 seeds continued when No. 9 Agnieszka Radwanska lost to Svetlana Kuznetsova, 6-2, 6-4.

American Venus Williams, the 10th seed, made it through No. 27 Ana Konjuh without issue on Monday, 6-3, 6-2.

Top seed Andy Murray made it through to the quarterfinals without issue on Monday for the men. Murray took down Benoit Paire, 7-6(1), 6-4, 6-4.
