Report: Jim Riggleman Named Nationals Manager
Riggleman took over 26-61 team at the halfway point of the season and led them to a 33-42 record down the stretch. Whether he’s receiving too much of the credit for that improvement is almost beside the point: Riggelman is a quietly capable manager who will do just about as good a job as anyone else, which, given the minimal effects most managers seem to have on their clubs (at least measured in production), is just fine indeed.
