Male Pattern Fitness has dusted off a copy of Awareness Through Movement by Moshe Feldenkrais, a fitness book published in 1972. Most fitness pundits advise stringent regimens that require the lifting of all sorts of heavy things. Not this one.
This Is My Kind Of Physical Fitness Philosophy
↵↵As far as I can tell, Feldenkrais’s methods have nothing to do with a ‘correct’ and ‘incorrect’ way of moving, nothing to do with imposing a system on the body, but on helping each person find their own, individually efficient way of moving.
↵↵So as long as I can type on my computer, reach for my sandwich, and type on my computer some more with my own special, unique flourish, I can call it a regimen. I’m all about it.
