Shawne Merriman Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Tila Tequila

Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was taken into custody this morning after allegedly assaulting MTV personality Tila “Tequila” Nguyen. According to Nguyen’s account, Merriman choked and restrained her after she attempted to leave his home. In part, here is the immediate reaction from Bolts from the Blue:

My advice to Chargers fans: close your ears on this issue until it's investigated further. The fact that she went to the hospital means that they have definitive proof as to whether or not he choked her. If he did, things will get ugly quickly.
