Stricker Gets the Win, First Place in FedEx Cup

Steve Stricker has made birdie on the last two holes to win the Deutsche Bank Championship and move to No. 1 in the FedEx Cup standings with two tournaments remaining.In a wild finish on Labor Day, a half-dozen players had a chance to win on the par-5 18th hole, Stricker delivered with a chip from behind the green that settled 2 feet away for a tap-in birdie for a 4-under 67.

The win also gives Stricker the lead in the FedEx Cup--a $10 million ESPY award, really--which means that he’ll be assured a shot at the title when the race is decided at the end of this month.
