I’m not passing judgment on the musical merits of Kenny Chesney, or any other country music superstars. Really, I’m not. But talk about a pregame anti-climax.

↵There are certain types of music that just don’t work well with football. 60s pop, for instance. Or Norah Jones. And, no, this song doesn’t work, either. It just doesn’t come anywhere close to mimicking the heartbeat of a good football game—big hits, close games, and acoustic guitar?—and it’s impossibly obnoxious.
