The Miami Dolphins, sitting at 4-3 and in third place in the ultra-competitive AFC East, must embrace their status as a statistical oddity today as they look to remain unbeaten on the road when they take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Week 9 NFL, Ravens Vs. Dolphins: Miami Looking To Continue Road Winning Streak
Miami is 4-0 on the road in 2010, which has kept them very much alive in the AFC playoff race despite being one of just three NFL teams to have not registered a win in their home stadium this season. (The other two teams are the 0-7 Buffalo Bills and the 1-6 Dallas Cowboys.)
Led by an opportunistic defense and an efficient offense, Miami has won road games by margins of five, four, three and eight points this season. Their job doesn’t get any easier, as they’ll take on a Ravens team fresh off of their bye week - and who are three-for-three in securing victories at home in M&T Bank Stadium.
Baltimore last played in Week 7, when they defeated the Buffalo Bills 37-34 in overtime at home. The Ravens, at 5-2, are currently tied for first place in the AFC North with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is a Ravens team that is getting healthier, with Ed Reed set to make his second start of the season at free safety, and with players finally settling into comfortable roles after a tumultuous, if efficient and productive, start to the season.
