Week 9 NFL, Ravens Vs. Dolphins: Willis McGahee, Baltimore Nab Quick 7-0 Lead

If the Miami Dolphins are going to continue their impressive road winning streak, they’re going to have to overcome an early 7-0 deficit to do so.

Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens took the opening kickoff in today’s matchup at M&T Bank Stadium and quickly marched 74 yards for a touchdown, with the drive requiring fewer than three minutes to complete. Willis McGahee hauled in a pass from Joe Flacco and took it 32 yards to paydirt for the game’s opening score.

Flacco was also able to hit big plays to tight end Todd Heap (11 yards) and T.J. Houshmandzadeh (23 yards) on the drive. Flacco has at least 248 passing yards in five of Baltimore’s seven games this season, and appears to be well on his way to another very solid outing after knifing through Miami’s passing defense early in the first quarter.

Miami takes over with 12:08 remaining in the first quarter and a lot of work to do if they’re going to move to 5-0 on the road this season.
