Thursday Night Football, Colts Vs. Titans: Peyton Manning Tries To Get Back On Track

What was once thought as a game that could potentially feature two of the top teams in the AFC is now a game with two teams just trying to survive. The 5-7 Tennessee Titans will host the 6-6 Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night football in a game that is a must-win for both sides.

The Titans aren't officially eliminated from the playoff conversation but it's more and more like they are, especially after last week's six-point offensive effort in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts on the other hand sit one game out of first place in the AFC South.

For Indy, obviously this is an important game. The following week they have a showdown with the Jaguars so for that game to mean something they need to win this game. The Colts have lost three games in a row and Peyton Manning doesn't seem like Peyton Manning. That's a significant concern but, judging by the last seven years with Manning, you have to expect he bounces back.

The Titans meanwhile have even bigger quarterback issues, With Vince Young already out for the year, Kerry Collins last week had a miserable 14-of-32 and two interception performance. If this comes down to a game of quarterbacks (which it usually does), it's hard not to side with the Colts, even with Manning's struggles.

The Colts are currently 3.5 point road favorites and I think you’ve got to pick them to win after seeing the Titans last week.
