Come For the Daytona 500, Stay For the Road Improvement!

Update: Jamie McMurray held off a hard-charging Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to win the Daytona 500.
This is the hole that caused a delay in the Daytona 500 today. (Or one of them, at least.) A major sporting event in the year 2010 has been delayed by a hole in a man-made surface. I’ve seen it all.
Our NASCAR blog, Unrestricted, has a great recap of the chatter about the hole, and you can find all sorts of updates on the race and racing over there, too.
Also, Wikipedia has exclusively revealed the winner of the race. (HT: Mark Bradley.)
