On Thursday, an unidentified woman went public with allegations that the NFL Network’s Michael Irvin sexually assaulted her over two years ago.
Michael Irvin Accused Of Sexual Assault, Answers With $100 Million Lawsuit
The lawsuit, which was filed Thursday, seeks unspecified damages from the NFL Network commentator for allegedly assaulting her at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., on July 4 or 5, 2007.
In response, Irvin’s camp vehemently denied the accusations in no uncertain terms.
“Nothing happened. There was no encounter between this Jane Doe and Michael Irvin,” [Irvin’s attorney Larry] Friedman said. “The entire story is false, it’s bogus, it’s made up.”
Irvin has also responded by filing a $100 million lawsuit against the woman. Among other things, the lawsuit calls her “morally bankrupt.”
At this point, there’s no way of knowing what, if anything, transpired between the two in 2007. We’ll update as soon as more information becomes available.
