ESPN Spoils Super Bowl: Saints Win!

Our friends at SB Nation, BlackSportsOnline, and Pro Football Talk have been all over this story for a day or so, but it bears repeating: ESPN already knows who’s winning the Super Bowl. And it’s the New Orleans Saints.

How this isn’t on their front page, I don’t know, but this story clearly shows that Drew Brees and the Saints are going to win Super Bowl 44. Look at his victorious throwing motion in that picture! And the Falcons logo! Brees clearly has power over the time-space continuum that only a select few in Bristol know about.

And don’t take the article’s disappearance to mean that ESPN was wrong. It all but Brees got wind of the report and had a chance to change it before anyone but much of the sports blogosphere was aware of it. Unfortunately, Brees is no match for the greatest force of our day: Google.

(Okay, it was probably some ESPN intern getting a jump on preparing the template and clicking post too soon. Click here to see a screen-capture of the full page.)
