LT Ryan Clady is arguably the best player on the Broncos team and one of the best young lineman in all of the NFL, which makes this news hard to swallow for Broncos fans.
Broncos LT Ryan Clady Suffers Potentially Serious Knee Injury
Ryan Clady, the Broncos’ Pro Bowl left tackle, suffered a knee injury off the field and it could be serious.
Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports, citing sources, that Clady injured the patella tender in one of his knees during a non-football-related activity. We’re not sure what that activity was.
The extent of the injury is unknown at this point.
SB Nation’s Mile High Report is all over this story. They’ve done some research on the worst-case scenario.
Upon research of the injury, I have discovered that if Clady had ruptured his patellar tendon, it would requre surgical repairing, and six weeks of recovery time plus several weeks of rehabilitation. If Clady has indeed ruptured his patellar tendon, he would likely miss the rest of the offseason rehabbing his injured knee.
