After taking an Antawn Jamison elbow to the face early in the first quarter Tuesday night, Toronto’s Chris Bosh had surgery to repair a facial fracture on Wednesday.
Bosh Out Of Surgery To Repair Facial Fracture, No Timetable On Return
The surgery was performed by Dr. Frank Papay at The Cleveland Clinic and Bosh will remain there overnight. He was already ruled out for Wednesday’s home game against Boston earlier in the day. There was no timetable given for his possible return.
The loss of Bosh for even just Wednesday’s game is a huge blow to the Raptors’ playoff chances. Toronto is just a game ahead of Chicago for the eighth and final postseason berth in the Eastern Conference entering tonight’s slate of games.
The Raptors are three games behind Charlotte for the 7th seed and the Raptors only have four games left to try and move up.
