The Raiders announced on Thursday what many have expected for some time -- Quarterback JaMarcus Russell has been released.

Russell was the Raider 2007 first round pick and immediately rivals Ryan Leaf in the argument for biggest draft bust of all time.

Russell’s final numbers in Oakland are abysmal:

  • 52.1% completion percentage
  • 4,083 yards
  • 18 touchdowns
  • 23 interceptions
