2010 College World Series: Florida St. Jumps Out To 4-2 Lead Over TCU

Last time Florida St. and TCU played, the first run of the game came in the top of the first. Tonight, they waited until the bottom half of the inning and when the runs came, they came in style. Back-to-back home runs by Sherman Johnson and Mike McGee in the bottom of the first gave Florida St. a 2-0 edge over TCU and after losing to them earlier in the College World Series, the momentum they desperately needed.

Two innings later, the Horned Frogs responded, although it took a fair share of help. A pair of Seminoles errors allowed two runs to come across and even the game at two apiece.

The Seminoles grabbed the lead back in their nextat-bat, though, when James Ramsey connected on a RBI triple, then Stephen Cardullo singled him in. It not only gave the Noles a 4-2 lead, but it also knocked TCU starting pitcher Steven Maxwell from the contest. Let’s see what the Frogs do for pitching now because the Seminole offense is rolling.
