NFL Preseason: Joe Flacco, Terrence Cody Have Big Nights In Ravens 27-12 Win Over Panthers

Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense were clicking against the Panthers on Thursday night. Flacco’s final numbers were impressive: 8/12, 120 yards and a touchdown.

SB Nation’s Baltimore Beatdown gives a solid review of the Ravens young quarterback.

The offense came out passing right away. Cam Cameron and Joe Flacco worked the play action pass all throughout the first quarter, moving the ball fairly well all over the field. Joe was impressive with his ability to not lock on to certain targets during the first half and spread the ball to different areas.

The other big (literally and figuratively) question mark entering this game was how nose tackle Terrence Cody would handle live action. With his size he’s one of the more intriguing prospects on a good Ravens defense.

Mount Cody as they call him had a great night along the defensive line -- and lined up at fullback.

Individually, Terrence Cody was a man against the Panthers, beating numerous double teams and causing havoc in the backfield multiple times. It really showed tonight just how strong and quick Cody can be on certain plays and poor Jimmy Clausen was scared for his life back there. Did Mount Cody really lineup at fullback? Yes, he did.

Check out Baltimore Beatdown for more on the Ravens victory over the Panthers.
