Carlos Santana Scheduled For MRI Following Collision; Early Evaluation Says Knee Is ‘Twisted’

According to Paul Hoynes, Carlos Santana is scheduled for an MRI examination on Tuesday, presumably after swelling goes down a little bit. But there is good news:

Indians Carlos Santana will get MRI on left knee Tuesday in Cleveland. Initial test on knee by trainers was encouraging.

This comes an hour after Hoynes tweeted the following:

Indians Carlos Santana is still in locker room, joking with Fausto Carmona and Andy Marte in the trainer's room.

The Cleveland trainers don’t believe there to be any significant, major damage, and Santana’s initial diagnosis is that he has a ‘twisted knee’. Which, of course, would be absolutely wonderful news, given the circumstances. However, we won’t know for sure until his MRI in the morning.
