Week 2 NFL Scores And Results: Falcons Crush Cardinals 41-7

Matt Ryan threw three touchdowns, tying his career high, and Jason Snelling compiled a personal-best 186 total yards as the Falcons battered their flying NFC West foes for four quarters.

Snelling, typically a utility back, took over the offense after Jerious Norwood was injured on the opening kickoff and Michael Turner hurt his groin in the second quarter. Atlanta’s backs combined for 221 yards rushing.

Cardinals running back Tim Hightower posted a career-high of his own, with 115 yards rushing. Most of it came on a 80-yard run, his highest and the Cards’ only score. Derek Anderson threw for 161 yards and two picks, with BYU rookie Max Hall making an appearance late.

Both teams are now 1-1. Atlanta travels to New Orleans next week, and Arizona hosts the Raiders.
