During Friday night's Twins-Tigers game, Twins pitcher Francisco Liriano appeared to suffer an injury. From Fox Sports' Jon Morosi:
Francisco Liriano Injured, Leaves Twins-Tigers Game
Liriano, ALDS Game 1 starter for #Minnesota, is done after four-plus innings. No word on why
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Liriano appeared to tweak something while throwing a pitch. After making a couple of practice throws, the decision was made to remove Liriano from the game. He had given up two runs to the Tigers in three-plus innings.
In 2010, Liriano has a 3.44 ERA for the playoff-bound Twins, who, during a red-hot September, have the best record in baseball.
