Alabama Vs. Kentucky: No. 12 Wildcats Trail Crimson Tide In Second Half, 54-38

The Alabama Crimson Tide have the No. 17 Kentucky Wildcats stunned at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The unranked Crimson Tide hold a 17-point lead with 16 minutes to go in the second half, after taking a seven point lead into halftime. In front of a rowdy home crowd, Alabama has used strong defense and hot shooting from beyond the arc to blow the game open.

Alabama is 6-11 from beyond the arc, including two big threes in a second half that pushed the lead to 16. Kentucky, on the other hand, has been stagnant on offense, unable to find an answer for Bama’s active zone defense. Only Doron Lamb, with 12 points, has been able to get it going on offense, with Terrence Jones adding eight points for the Wildcats.

JaMychal Green and Tony Mitchell are each in double-figures for Alabama, with 12 and 11 points respectively. Green also leads team with six rebounds. Alabama is shooting 50 percent from the field and from three-point range while out-rebounding Kentucky 25-17.
