Zdeno Chara Likely To Play Game 3 Vs. Canadiens; Andrei Kostitsyn Likely Back, Too

If one thing was evident in the Boston Bruins Game 2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, it was that Shane Hnidy is not Zdeno Chara. But, well, you knew that already anyway. Chara's absence loomed large in the Bruins big loss in that game, but despite weird dehydration issues, it looks like he'll be back for Game 3 as the series shifts to Bell Centre.

Chara skated with the Bruins during the morning skate, and according to reporters in Montreal, coach Claude Julien called him a game-time decision. Via NHL.com:

Chara did not speak to the media after taking part in the entire skate, leading his teammates in the post-practice stretch, but Bruins coach Claude Julien suggested the chances his captain will play Monday night are strong.
“As of right now he’s looking good,” Julien said. “But I can’t stand here and say he’s definitely in.”

It’s a must-win game for the Bruins. You don’t really think he’s sitting out, do you?

Meanwhile, one of Chara's many, many victims is also set to return to the lineup for Game 3. Andrei Kostitsyn took a Chara blast to the foot in Game 1 and missed Game 2 as a result. He also skated with the team on Monday morning and is listed as a game-time decision for Game 3.
