Canadiens Vs. Bruins Game 3: Boston Gets First Lead Of Series From Krejci And Horton

In the first two games of the Canadiens and Bruins series, Montreal jumped out to an early lead in both games. The Bruins returned the favor on the road as David Krejci gave the Bruins their first lead of the series at the 3:11 mark and Nathan Horton scored his first career playoff goal at 14:38 into the period.

Krejci scored the first Bruins goal from a 2 on 1 breakaway along with Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron feathered a pass across the offensive zone to Krejci and Krejci one-timed the goal in the net. Dennis Seidenberg recorded the other assist on the goal.

Horton’s goal was a bank shot off goaltender Carey Price and just barely crossed the red line to count for a goal. Assists on the goal came from Zdeno Chara and Andrew McQuaid. Both of the Bruins goals came within a minute of the Bruins returning from the penalty kill.

The Bruins are outshooting the Canadiens 9-8 in the first period. Montreal’s Carey Price has seven saves in the game while Boston’s Tim Thomas has the eight save shutout in the first.
