2011 NFL Draft: Patriots Will Have Trade Options

The New England Patriots don't have a lot of needs relative to other teams in the 2011 NFL draft but there are still improvements to be made. They hold three of the first 33 picks in the draft so they have plenty of positions they could be looking at.

They could also be looking to trade. Bill Belichick said this week that they’ve been contacted by multiple teams talking about the possibility of trading up or down.

"We've definitely been contacted by teams below us offering to move back, and by teams behind us looking to move up," Belichick said in an appearance on Sirius/XM NFL Radio on Monday.

Belichick trades more than just about any other coach in the game so you can expect some action on those picks. Considering the depth of their team, it’s pretty incredible that they’re sitting in such a great position in the draft.
