Channing Crowder Released By Miami Dolphins, According To Report

The Channing Crowder era is over in Miami as the Dolphins have reportedly released the linebacker, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Crowder's release comes as a bit of surprise in this young free agency period.

Crowder is a solid player who is just 27 years old so he should find a home rather quickly. The period to release players started on Thursday afternoon and players can’t officially sign with teams until Friday night.

Crowder came to the Dolphins in 2005 as their third round pick where he was quickly inserted into the starting lineup, a job he never lost. He’s probably best remembered for his personality as he always had something interesting (and sometimes inappropriate) to say.

Crowder is the son of former Dolphins defensive lineman Randy Crowder.
