An international friendly? Right before the start of the season? How very novel. About the only interesting news here is that Antonio Cassano captains Italy in his hometown of Bari, which isn't very exciting at all. Anyway, Italy will be deployed in a 4-4-2 diamond, clogging the centre against a Spain midfield missing both Sergio Busquets and Xavi Hernandez.
Italy Vs. Spain, 2011 Friendly: Lineups
As a result of the middle presumably being busy, I can’t see this as a particularly fun game, but stranger things have happened, I suppose. In the past, I hear some people have been interested in pointless international friendlies right before the season starts. Now that’s weird.
