Philadelphia Union Vs. FC Dallas: Freddy Adu Starts In Union Debut

Petr Nowak hasn't wasted any time getting Freddy Adu into the Philadelphia Union lineup. Just two days after he was signed he is started for the Union as they take on the second best team in MLS, FC Dallas. He's a Designated Player and getting a fat paycheck so Philadelphia are certainly counting on Adu to make a big difference in their team and apparently, they're asking for it right away.

It will be interesting to see how Adu plays with Sebastien Le Toux considering both like to spend a lot of time on the ball. Odds are that Nowak asks Le Toux to be more of a striker now and finish plays instead of creating them, while Adu gets the responsibility of being the creator. Adu hasn't had much of a chance to train with his team so asking him to be the creator and be on the same page as his teammates so quickly is a lot, but it's what they're doing.
