Just in case you had any concerns that Tom Brady might be rusty after the lockout and missing the New England Patriots' first preseason game, you can stop worrying about it. Not that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defense is the best in the league, but It's been all easy in the first quarter for Brady, who appears to be in mid-season form. Danny Woodhead and Aaron Hernandez both look great as well and the Pats are absolutely cruising right now. They're up 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Patriots Vs. Buccaneers Score: New England, Tom Brady In Control Of First Quarter
Interestingly enough, Brady came out for a period of the Patriots' third series, with Brian Hoyer taking over. However, Brady is back in the game, meaning he probably just had some sort of equipment issue. He's 7/10 passing for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Woodhead has been great, rushing for 51 yards off four carries. BenJarvis Green-Ellis is looking good too, rushing for 25 yards and a touchdown on five carries.
Josh Freeman hasn't been terrible, but the Patriots defense is making his life hard. The playcalling and LaGarrett Blount's negative-two rushing yards aren't helping matters.
